Epic Games is launching a new store feature within Fortnite that enables players to sell custom in-game items, directly emulating Roblox's creator-driven revenue model. The initiative will allow creators to monetize durable and consumable items on their custom islands, with an initial 100% revenue share until 2026—effectively 74% of V-Bucks' value—before transitioning to a 50% split.
The MOVE signals Epic's aggressive push into the UGC (user-generated content) economy, though analysts note Fortnite's distinct gameplay niche may limit direct competition with Roblox.
